NEWS: Presetsheaven on Flickr.com

Ever wanted to show the work you’ve done in Lightroom to others you know are interested? Well now you have a targeted group on Flickr.com for that. Beside the possibility to show your work of honor in this group, you can make requests for specific photographic styles you’ve seen out there but never managed to achieve yourself.

With this said, you now have the possibility to shout out your preset requests for a specific effect.
“Georg” did it earlier here on presetsheaven.com, using the comment field. Some hours later I posted six new presets (The Holga and Polaroid presets) according to his requests. Using this new Flickr group will probably be even easier for those of you putting up requests. Most of the time someone already have achieved “your” effect using a preset.

Start uploading your work or requests and let the rest be a part of it.

Oh, one more thing…
If you choose to show your work in the group, please remember do add both before- and after images to the related preset you have used.

If your preset is good enough it might even be reviewed by me and published here (with a link to your site, if you have one). :-)

Thank you for joining my presetsheaven group on Flickr!
Best regards, Pierre

  1. Quick question Pierre:

Is there a risk of someone stealing images from Flickr? I have noticed that if you Right Click on an image you can select “Save Image As”. I would love to be able and trust everyone on the net but unfortunately I don’t. Do you if there is a way to turn off the ability of an image being saved? Thanks

  2. Hi Andy!
Actually you can set some privacy and permissions in your flickr account settings (this will stop people from downloading your large images). My best advise is for you to put a copyright stamp with low opacity on the photos you really care about. I’ve still not had the problem with people stealing my photos though.

  3. I haven’t actually tried looking at my privacy settings so I guess I should do that!!! Duhhhh
Thanks for always responding so quickly Pierre. Your site has become an awesome resource!
