Preset 056 of 365

Hello dear visitor! Here’s Lightroom preset number 056 of 365.

Most of my posts in Project 365 are very short in text. Why? Well for the most part it depends on how little time I have left over during the day. Family comes first :-)  This post does include some more readable content than usual though…

Anger management

I’ve received some comments (on Facebook) on how easy it is to create an effect or how simple it has been done in Lightroom, that the original photo looks better and so on.

Let me first explain why some photos look the way they do.

I started this project to put pressure on myself by posting one brand new Lightroom preset each day – for a whole year! I could have kept all the created presets for myself, but I chose to share them with everyone (yep, that’s the way I work). Now for those of you who comment on how easy it is to create an effect etc… Please be my guest and start publishing a preset each day for a whole year yourself. And, remember that there are many people out there who doesn’t have a clue on “how you did that effect”.

This project was never intended to be the generator of perfectly made presets. It’s all about me and the randomly chosen photos I select and play with in Lightroom :-) I spend at least 45min of my time each day doing this. It takes you seconds to download my work.

If you like what I do, please feel free to comment it, “Like” it, “Share” it on Facebook or “tweet” about it on Twitter etc. It really makes me happy!

Now here’s what you came for:

  1. Well, I certainly thank you for your time and talents. I have neither but I love to piggy back off of yours. Thank you so very much:)

  2. I don’t see many other people taking on a challenge like this so good for you and THANK YOU for your presets. For those of you who do not appreciate the time and effort it takes to do this, go create your own and post it somewhere and see what happens.

  3. Just discovered Lightroom and the presets-function. So happy with it, because I think Photoshop is way to hard for hobbyphotographers. You really help me to edit my photos and see what is possible. Thank you so much and please go on!

  4. Thank you, Pierre! I know how to make presets, and also to try and do something (anything) every day for a length of time. Neither is easy! Your efforts and decision to share them are generous and much appreciated. May the daily focus you are putting into this project reward you in all areas of your art~

  5. Bah! Don’t worry about the “critics”! Doesn’t matter what you do, there are always people you just can’t please. I appreciate you taking the time to do this and to freely share what you’ve done and look forward to seeing what you come up with. I know how much work and how challenging any 365 project takes – if nothing else it’ll be a challenge to yourself :)

  6. PFFFFFTTTTTT don’t let the haters hate… you do what you do and do a grand job of it!! And I for one am very appreciative of all the hard work you are doing!!

  8. hi Pierre,

beginning with this preset, your RSS feed has gone from full to partial. please revert back to full so people who use RSS readers (like me) do not have to read a small excerpt in their reader and then go to the website to finish reading. thank you!

  9. Thank you so much for sharing your presets, I think it is amazing what you are doing and I am sure I will enjoy your presets!
