I have run into one problem though, I too, like to use a white signature, so I, like you, created a PNG signature image. Only when I select the option to "Resize watermark" with "% aspect ration preserved", it just doesn't work. It will work with other image formats, but I need the transparent background. The PNG file will work if I select "% of image size" but then the signature only works on certain size file, otherwise it will be distorted. I have just started using LR/Mogrify plug-in also.
